Milan Records today releases The Running Man (Music from the Motion Picture by Academy Award-winning composer Steven Price. Available everywhere now, the album features score music written by Price for director Edgar Wright's new adaptation based on the novel by Stephen King, with a screenplay by Michael Bacall and Michael Bacall & Edgar Wright. The project is the latest in a long-term collaborative partnership between Wright and Price, following their work together on The World's End, Baby Driver and Last Night in Soho. Recorded at London's iconic Abbey Road Studios, Price's orchestral-meets-electronic score to The Running Man infuses the film with an electrifying sonic undercurrent to match the high-octane action thriller. Starring Glen Powell, The Running Man is now available exclusively in theaters nationwide from Paramount Pictures.
Of the soundtrack, composer Steven Price says, "From writing themes for alternative reality TV shows to musically supporting every twist in the relentless hunt of Ben Richards, scoring The Running Man was one of the most varied and exhilarating challenges I've ever had. It was fantastic to work again with Edgar and his close-knit team. I started writing before the shoot itself, and those pieces duly evolved as the film sprung into life, developing the kind of rhythmic musical momentum that is a mark of Edgar's films. It was a thrill to be a part of this one, and I can't wait for everyone to see and hear what we've been up to."
