Opening in theaters nationwide this week are (with music by): Iron Lung (Andrew Hulshult), Melania (Tony Neiman), Send Help (Danny Elfman) and Shelter (David Buckley). Expanding nationwide from its limited release last weekend is Arco (Arnaud Toulon)

- Steve Bartek (Romy and Michele's High School Reunion, Novocaine) is turning 74 today.
- Philip Glass (The Hours, Kundun) is turning 89 tomorrow, January 31.
- Andrew Lockington (San Andreas, Journey to the Center of the Earth) is turning 52 on January 31.
- Jesper Kyd (Assassin's Creed, Hitman) is turning 54 on Tuesday, February 3.
- Don Davis (The Matrix, Jurassic Park III) is turning 69 on Wednesday, February 4.
- Cliff Martinez (Drive, Traffic) is turning 72 on Thursday, February 5.
- Nick Laird-Clowes (About Time, The Invisible Circus) is turning 69 on February 5.
